12 SL Derivatives of Logarithmic and Trigonometric Functions

Complete the following questions before our next class.

Exercise 15F questions 1abcghi, 2abcghi, 3abcghi, 4
Exercise 15G questions 1defghi, 2defjkl, 3abcghi, 4

Also, think about how you could use what we have covered to calculate the derivative of the tangent function.
If \(f(x)=\tan x\), then \(f(x)=\frac{\sin x}{\cos x}\), and there’s a rule that might help!
12 HL Applications of Integration

Complete the following questions before our next class.

Exercise 22A questions 5 and 7
Exercise 22B questions 6, 13, 14, 21
Exercise 22C.1 question 2
Exercise 22C.2 questions 3, 6, 7, 8
Exercise 22D questions 4, 5, 6, 8, 9

11 SL Inverse Functions

Complete the following questions before our next class (on Monday).

Exercise 2G questions 1a (don’t worry about part ii), 2b, 3cd, 8, 10, 12, 16

These will be good practice in advance of our test on Thursday, October 25th. I’ll also be posting some suggested review questions over the weekend, but feel free to start looking at questions from the review sets at the end of Chapter 2.

9 Extended Test (Real Numbers, Sets and Radicals)

Our test on real numbers, sets, and radicals (corresponding to material in Chapters 2 and 4 of our textbook) will be on Monday, October 22.

As part of your preparation for the test, I suggest you look at the following review questions from the textbook.

Review Set 2A questions 1–11
(and/or Review Set 2B questions 1–10 if you want extra practice)
Review Set 4A questions 1–7
(and\or Review Set 4B questions 1–6, if you want extra practice)

The final questions in each Review Set are difficult, but give the a try if you want a challenge!
