12 HL: Manipulating Maclaurin Series

Complete the following questions before our next class (I’ll also be sending some questions via email.)

Exercise 24D question 3 (this one’s fun!)
Exercise 24E questions 3 and 7
Exercise 24G question 2

12 HL: Maclaurin Series

Complete the following questions before our next class (after the break!). Also, keep an eye on your inbox for some probability and statistics review questions.

Exercise 24A questions 1, 4, 5, 6

12 HL: Linear Regression

Complete the following questions before our next class. (Some of these you might just glance at, provided you are certain that you could fully answer the question.)

Exercise 26A 1, 6
Exercise 26B 4, 7
Exercise 26D 5, 7

12 HL: The Standard Normal Distribution

Complete the following questions before our next class.

It is know that the foot size, \(X\)of a Tyrannosaurus rex is normally distributed with \(\textrm{P}(X\geq 70)=0.43\) and \(\textrm{P}(X\leq 30)=0.24\). Find the mean and standard deviation of the Tyrannosaurus rex foot size.

You can have some time in class tomorrow to work on the questions below, but you should get a start on these tonight. (Also, we’ve now finished the chapter on continuous probability distributions!)

Exercise 28E.1 question 1
Exercise 28E.2 questions 3, 4abde, 5
Exercise 28F.1 questions 6 and 9
Exercise 28F.2 questions 5 and 9

12 HL: The Normal Distribution

Complete the following questions before our next class.

Exercise 28C.2 questions 3abd, 4
Exercise 28D.1 questions 1, 3, 6
Exercise 28D.2 questions 1, 3, 6 (why does question 6 not involve a normal distribution?), 8, 10
